Assistant Manager

Job Summary As an Assistant General Manager at Keke's Breakfast Cafe, you will work with cafe and area leadership to oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. Responsibilities Uphold standards for excellence in people, quality, and cleanliness. Build plans for growth of your team and the business. Create a positive work environment and promote integrity, hospitality, and pride. Handle all aspects of team member lifecycle: hiring, training, scheduling, and retention. Protect the brand reputation and maintain all cafe assets. Improve sales and profitability through systematic efforts. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations. Ensure restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on time. Schedule labor to meet anticipated business activity while ensuring all positions are staffed and labor cost objectives are met. Fill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations. Apply knowledge of service, food and beverage, and front‑of‑house operations (at least three years). Maintain open availability during operating hours. Administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for policy violations. Oversee a minimum of two years of management experience in full service or fast‑café restaurants. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older. Able to communicate in the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area. Experience with cash handling and back‑office systems. Capable of standing for up to 8 hours in a standing position. Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Availability to work 50 to 60 hours per week. Reliable transportation.
