Job Description & Requirements Specialty: LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information This position is within a Labor and Delivery unit featuring: 10 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) beds 3 Triage beds 2 Operating Room (OR) suites A dedicated team of approximately 30 Registered Nurses (RNs) Shift Information Shifts are structured as follows: Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 2 LDR RNs, 1 Nursery RN Patient Ratios The standard patient-to-nurse ratio is: 2 Laboring patients per 1 RN Equipment Utilized Modern equipment includes: GE Monitoring Systems Novii Wireless Monitoring Spectrum IV Pumps CADD Epidural Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA) devices Electronic Medical Records (EMR) The unit uses Meditech for electronic medical records management. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must have: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Preferred qualifications include: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Typical Procedures Common procedures performed in the unit include: Inductions Cesarean Sections (C/S) Spontaneous Vaginal Deliveries (SVD) Personality Fit Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Dress Code The dress code requires: OR scrubs while on the unit Note: Unacceptable attire includes any clothing outside of professional scrubs.
