About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience; first-time travelers are accepted. License: GA or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Experience in all potential MS, MS Tele, PCU, and ICU diagnoses. - Flexibility to float between various units. - Compliance with full requirements to start on time. - Ability to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Description: This is a float pool position within a critical care environment. Candidates should be prepared to float across multiple units, including ICU, MS, MS Tele, and PCU. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Required patient ratios vary by unit: 1:2-3 for ICU, 1:4-5 for PCU, and 1:5-6 for MS and MS Tele. Prior experience in charge roles is preferred. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Advanced skills in managing ventilated patients, IV therapy, and neurological assessments are necessary. Travelers are expected to honor holiday commitments as outlined, with expectations to work major holidays. Professional compliance and training completion are mandatory before starting the contract. Candidates should be adaptable and ready to manage dynamic patient care demands across diverse settings.
