26-27 Assistant HS Track and Field Coach Position Type: Athletics/Activities/ Coaching Date Posted: 6/4/2026 Location: McDonald County High School Date Available: 07/01/2026 Position Overview The successful candidate will work closely with the head coach to develop and implement training programs, provide individualized coaching, and support the overall growth and success of our athletes, and athletic department. Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting practice sessions. Provide individualized coaching and feedback to athletes to enhance their skills and performance. Collaborate with the head coach to develop game strategies and tactics. Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities used for training and competition. Foster a positive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork. Provide guidance and support to athletes in academic and personal matters as needed. Adhere to all MSHSAA or relevant governing body rules and regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or junior high level. Strong knowledge of the sport and its technical aspects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
