Payroll Specialist

We're currently hiring for a Payroll Specialist on behalf of a client in Rincon, GA!

Job Description

This position supports a mix of payroll, data entry, reporting, and administrative functions. Youll work with employee and business data, assist with payroll processing, and help ensure records and reports are accurate and complete.

Responsibilities

• Review, organize, and update data from multiple sources while ensuring information is accurate and consistent.

• Maintain employee, payroll, and business records within internal databases and systems.

• Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.

• Enter and update payroll information including wages, deductions, benefits, garnishments, accruals, and adjustments.

• Process employee changes such as new hires, terminations, compensation updates, and other payroll-related changes.

• Research and correct missing, inaccurate, or inconsistent information.

• Create recurring and ad hoc reports using Microsoft Excel and other internal systems.

• Track payroll and workforce information and ensure records remain properly documented.

• Assist with payroll reporting and provide documentation for internal or external audits.

• Partner with different departments to gather information, answer questions, and resolve data or payroll discrepancies.

• Help identify opportunities to make reporting and data processes more efficient.

• Handle employee and payroll information with a high level of confidentiality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rincon, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
