Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery and Postpartum

Location: Wilson, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 (Night) for Labor & Delivery; 07:00 - 19:00 (Day) for OB.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maternal care, including labor and delivery, and the ability to manage a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for laboring mothers and newborns during delivery and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and manage labor medications as necessary.
• Assist in surgical procedures, including circulating during cesarean sections.
• Handle postpartum care and patient education for new families.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
• Current RN licensure and certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• Completed fetal monitoring class within the last 2 years.
