Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU / 12-Hour Days

Location

Yakima, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | On-Site | 12-Hour Shifts (Day/Night Rotation: 0700–1930 / 1900–0730) | Every other weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ICU-level nursing care for a diverse patient population including neuro/spine, patients on pressors, BiPAP with high FiO2 requirements, and patients transitioning to ICU level of care
• Manage and monitor chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, femoral arterial sheaths, and arterial lines
• Care for patients presenting with DKA, BiPAP, High Flow oxygen therapy, post-TCAR, and Femoral Endarterectomy
• Maintain patient ratios of typically 2:1, with 1:1 assignments based on patient acuity
• Float to ICU-level or lower acuity units throughout the facility as needed
• Document and manage patient care using the facility's electronic medical records system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Must have completed at least one prior travel nursing assignment — first-time travelers will not be considered
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated proficiency with the clinical skills listed in the key responsibilities above

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Impella and/or IABP (competency verification will be required on assignment)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Experience in a community hospital or similarly sized facility
