Work Environment

Located in Avenel, NJ, Monadnock Care Solution Physical Therapy operates onsite and primarily focuses on home care services. The position requires a Monday to Friday schedule, with a typical 40-hour workweek, providing a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, planning, and implementing personalized treatment programs for patients referred by physicians. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patient needs and developing evidence-based treatment plans to address those needs.
  • Administering therapeutic interventions that may include strength training, range of motion exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional re-training.
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Fostering strong relationships with patients to enhance their comfort and trust, ensuring they are fully engaged in their recovery process.
  • Providing education and training to patients and their caregivers about exercises, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards to track progress and facilitate communication within the care team.
  • Achieving minimum utilization goals and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the practice through quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, addressing various specialties that include orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. This variety allows you to implement a wide range of therapeutic modalities and interventions, adapting to the unique needs of each patient as you assist them in regaining their functional capabilities and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
  • A valid state license in Physical Therapy, compliant with New Jersey regulations.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and their families.
  • Proficiency in using technology and electronic health records for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's degree is required, candidates with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) are encouraged to apply, as well as those who have two or more years of relevant experience in outpatient physical therapy or a home care setting. A current CPR certificate is also preferred, as is experience in providing evidence-based care in a variety of clinical settings.
