Mechanical Superintendent

Job Title

Pay Range: $67.66hr - $87.83hr

Requirement/Must Have

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment as well as their uses.
• Extensive technical knowledge and experience in mechanical operations to ensure adequate coordination for smooth and safe execution of activities at site.
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Experience managing union craft.
• Heavy industrial US direct hire construction experience.
• Extensive working knowledge of construction planning, monitoring, and control.
• Knowledge of the use of subcontracts and the contractor/subcontractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
• Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbooks and core processes.
• Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
• Knowledge of zero-accident safety programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical craft professionals.
• Direct craft professional activities and work schedules.
• Coordinate subcontract work activities and team development.
• Ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive.
• Ensure compliance with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules.
• Perform work within specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Develop construction plans, then monitor and control the work as planned.
• Manage subcontractors to assure compliance with subcontract drawings and specifications.
• Ensure requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook are adhered to.
• Ensure safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations are being followed.
• Support and enforce the organization’s safety programs.
• Maintain positive customer relations.
