Role Description This full‑time Mortgage Loan Officer role is a hybrid position based in Auburn, AL, with some work‑from‑home flexibility. The Mortgage Loan Officer will actively generate and manage a pipeline of residential mortgage prospects, guiding clients through the full loan process from initial inquiry to closing. Daily responsibilities include meeting with borrowers, assessing financial profiles, recommending appropriate loan products, and collecting and reviewing documentation. The role involves coordinating with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure files move efficiently and comply with regulatory and company standards. The Mortgage Loan Officer will also provide responsive customer service, maintain relationships with real estate professionals and referral partners, and stay current on mortgage guidelines, rates, and market trends. Qualifications Experience as a Loan Officer, with a track record of originating residential mortgage loans and managing a loan pipeline. Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including FHA, VA, conventional, and niche products. Familiarity with underwriting standards and documentation requirements, with the ability to structure files to meet underwriting guidelines. Demonstrated commitment to high‑quality Customer Service, including clear communication, timely follow‑up, and borrower education. Relevant state licensing and NMLS registration, or the ability to obtain required licenses within a defined timeframe. Proficiency with mortgage origination systems and basic office software; comfort working with technology‑driven processes. Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment. High ethical standards, attention to detail, and compliance mindset; prior experience in banking or financial services is beneficial.
