Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse

Location: Athens, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 - 19:00

Job Description: The Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, where critical thinking and effective communication are essential to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care for various diagnoses including pneumonia, CVA, post-surgical needs, and DVT.
• Administer medications and treatments per clinical protocols.
• Monitor and document patients' vital signs and health status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to formulate and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in Tennessee.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Medical/Surgical setting.
