Job Description: In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of motor equipment requiring a commercial driver's license for the construction, repair, and maintenance of municipal rights-of-way and drainage systems.

Examples of Duties:

• Drives and operates motor equipment such as dump trucks, asphalt trucks, rollers, bush hogs, tractors and similar motor equipment.
• Completes work orders and daily worksheets.
• Performs daily maintenance on equipment operated and maintains records of such maintenance.
• May operate other heavy equipment such as backhoe or front-end loader when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid SC Commercial Driver's License Permit Class B.
• Must obtain Commercial Driver's License Class B within 6 months of employment.

Other Necessary Requirements:

• May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City's needs.
