Role Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Developer & Database Administrator (DBA) to support mission-critical applications and databases. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle database administration, PL/SQL development, production support, performance tuning, database migration, and cloud migration initiatives involving AWS and Red Hat Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and database objects.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support and resolve critical database issues.
- Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and data correction activities.
- Administer Oracle databases including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery.
- Design, implement, and maintain materialized views and database performance optimization strategies.
- Support database migration projects across on-premises, AWS, and Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Monitor database performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
- Perform database security, user management, and access control administration.
- Execute database deployment, release management, and post-deployment validation.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure system reliability and availability.
Qualifications
- Strong Oracle Database Administration (DBA) experience.
- Advanced PL/SQL development expertise.
- Experience with production support and incident management.
- Strong SQL performance tuning and query optimization skills.
- Experience with materialized views, partitioning, and database performance monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle database migration and upgrade projects.
- Experience working with AWS services (RDS, EC2, DMS, S3, CloudWatch).
- Experience supporting Oracle databases on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, RMAN, Data Pump, and disaster recovery.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
- Shell scripting (Linux/Unix).
- DevOps and CI/CD exposure.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise production environments.
