Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience or strong interest in middle school special education
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to modify curriculum and deliver differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and specialists
• Familiarity with current best practices and interventions for students with learning differences
• Organizational skills for managing required documentation and progress tracking

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students in a 6th-grade setting
• Design and deliver engaging, multi-modal lessons tailored to students’ unique needs
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff to encourage classroom inclusion
• Foster a positive, safe, and productive learning atmosphere
• Maintain thorough documentation of progress, behaviors, and communication
• Attend team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development as required
