About the Position

• Begin your day by ensuring X-ray machines and related equipment are calibrated and functioning properly.
• Check the daily schedule to understand patient appointments and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Greet and prepare patients for X-ray procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Perform X-ray examinations following established protocols, positioning patients accurately for optimal imaging results.
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment for patients and yourself.
• Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate imaging needs and ensure accurate diagnostic information.
• Process and evaluate X-ray images to ensure quality and clarity, adjusting as needed.
• Record relevant patient information, procedure details, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health records system.
• Conduct routine maintenance on X-ray equipment and report any malfunctions for timely repairs.
• Stay updated on advancements in X-ray technology and attend relevant training to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including radiologists, nurses, and support staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Provide post-procedure instructions to patients and address any questions they may have about the imaging process.

Requirements

• Contractor's DRTs shall be X-ray Technologist certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times.
