Mechanical Engineer (5704) with Security Clearance

GVI, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Mechanical Engineers to effectively and efficiently support our customer in Newport, RI. Responsibilities Be familiar and proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD Design tooling and test fixtures and generate repair and test procedures based on sound engineering theories and research Analyze engineering problems, equipment failures and provide solutions either through re-design or upgrades If necessary generate Engineering Change Procedures (ECP), Departure From Specifications (DFS), Request for Problem Resolutions (RPRs) Position Requirements Act as the Subject Matter Expert in the facility Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (new graduates welcome) – 0-3 years relevant engineering experience Prior Navy system experience desired but not required Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) and excellent customer service skill Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance; active SECRET clearance holders preferred Must have a valid U.S. Driver's license Ability to lift 50 lbs.
