Lead Natural Resources Permitting Specialist / Project Manager

This OpportunityWSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Natural Resources Permitting Specialist / Project Manager for our Minneapolis, Minnesota office. Join our Earth & Environment Team and lead complex permitting and environmental compliance projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams across the Midwest.Your ImpactServe as Project Manager for environmental permitting and natural resources projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client communication.Lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating with biologists, environmental scientists, engineers, planners, and technical specialists.Develop project work plans, staffing plans, schedules, and budget forecasts to ensure successful project execution.Manage project financial performance, including labor utilization, invoicing, revenue forecasting, and contract compliance.Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services and business growth.Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and strategic planning efforts.Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance to support their professional growth.Who You AreRequired QualificationsDemonstrated experience managing environmental, natural resources, or permitting projects from initiation through completion.5 to 7 years of experienceProven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and client expectations.Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating technical resources across multiple offices and business units.Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices.Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management training.Experience managing environmental permitting efforts associated with energy, transportation, water resources, or infrastructure projects throughout the Upper Midwest.Existing relationships with regulatory agencies in Minnesota and surrounding states.#LI-LD1About WSPWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
