Grounds Keeper

Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals has an opening for a Cemetery Groundskeeper. The Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall appearance and maintenance of the cemetery grounds. This includes mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and watering the lawns; planting, weeding, and watering flowers and shrubs; removing litter; and repairing damage to the grounds. The Groundskeeper may also be responsible for assisting with funeral services, digging graves, and setting up grave markers.

Full Time: Permanent: $18.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Mow, trim, edge, fertilize, and water the lawns.
• Plant, weed, and water flowers and shrubs.
• Remove litter from the grounds.
• Repair damage to the grounds.
• Assist with funeral services.
• Dig graves.
• Set up grave markers.
• Operate a variety of lawn care and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Keep accurate records of work performed.
• Comply with all safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in groundskeeping or a related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
