RN - ICU

This is an ICU float pool position that will require floating down to MS/Tele/PCU/overflow units when needed. Will also float to Overflow PACU and other MS/Tele/PCU, Stepdown.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: 2 years if ICU exp
• CA RN License
• Certs: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• First time travelers accepted: YES
• Must have 400 bed or larger facility exp
• Special Requirements: PA LINE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE - WILL BE ASSESSED DURING PHONE INTERVIEW AND ADDITIONAL CHECKLIST. Large hospital exp required.

Job Details:

• Shift: 1900-730. 36 or 48s available

• Pending license: NO, must be active at time of submission
• No scheduling requests can be accommodated. 7 days max. No RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment.

Unit Details:

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 24 beds total per adult ICU
• Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation
• Patient Diagnoses: ICU Float Pool: 8SCCT, 7SCCT, 6SCCT/4SCCT, 5SCCT, Transplant float (2 high acuity units are in the float cluster). May also float to Overflow PACU and other MS/Tele overflow units, Stepdown

Special Equipment: May screen MICU candidates if strong CARDIAC, NEURO, and prefer TRAUMA exp

Compliance Submission Rules:

• Licensure: Temp/Pending licenses not accepted. Valid perm California license must be in hand at time of submission. Locals accepted at same rate. No radius rule.
• References: 2 references from within the past 1 year of employment are required at the time of submission. Must be supervisor or higher - No Charge RN.
• Return Staff Policy: Previous perm employees must be separated for 24 months before they are eligible for travel positions at all Cedars-Sinai facilities (including Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Cedars Marina Del Rey), with the exception of CSMN, which requires a 12 month separation. All past Cedars employment (travel, staff, etc.) MUST be included on profile.
• Scheduling Requests: None allowed. Traveler should be flexible.
• Background Policy: Any license or background hit requires a detailed written statement from the traveler. License/background hits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Any license or background hits that are open and/or pending are an automatic redirect. All hits must be completely closed.
• RTO Rules: Max RTO: 2 weeks total. No RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
• Compliance: Modules are billable and non-billable, 10-40 hours. Billable: the first 17 hours or HealthStream Modules are billable. Non-billable: any time spent on modules after first 17 hours in non-billable. Modules are completed pre-start and during orientation if not completed pre-start, and vary by specialty. Modules are self-reported on module timecard.
