End-User Deployment Technician

Role summary / purpose

The End-User Device Deployment Technician is responsible for the provisioning, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of end-user computing devices across the organization. This role ensures a superior end-user experience by delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality technology solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Image, configure, and deploy laptops, workstations, iPads, monitors, and peripherals/accessories in accordance with organizational standards and security policies
• Track and maintain accurate asset records within the CMDB, including device assignments, transfers, and decommissions
• Provide hands-on technical assistance during device deployments, hardware refreshes, and new hire onboarding to ensure minimal disruption to operations
• Perform pre- and post-deployment validation to confirm devices meet functional and compliance requirements
• Maintain organized inventory of devices and accessories, coordinating with procurement and logistics as needed
• Create and maintain accurate deployment records, procedures, and knowledge base articles
• Identify opportunities to streamline deployment processes, reduce deployment cycle times, and improve end-user satisfaction
• Maintain, manage, inventory, and provision end-user devices and equipment during storm restoration efforts

Requirements - education & experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in IT or related field preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in end-user computing, desktop support, or IT field services

Required skills

• Familiarity with Windows OS, macOS, and iOS device management
• Experience with MDM/UEM platforms
• Strong understanding of hardware components and peripheral connectivity

Nice-to-have / preferred skills

• Experience with CMDB/ticketing platforms
• Familiarity with enterprise shipping/tracking and management systems
• Knowledge of enterprise imaging and deployment tools
• Experience with Active Directory
