The nurse will float between units as needed. Weekends are required, with 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. The expected patient ratio is 1:5. The nurse will work with adult and geriatric patient populations. Required skills include management of bariatric surgery, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and more. Experience with pre/post-operative care, IV therapy, wound care, and tracheostomy management is needed. The facility is a short-term acute care center with a Level II Trauma designation. The nursing team provides interdisciplinary support and works closely with various specialties. Overall, the role requires flexibility and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
