Position Summary
The Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer Junior supports cybersecurity and information assurance activities within cloud and data-center environments. The position assists with identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, monitoring cybersecurity events, supporting incident response, and maintaining information assurance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Use defensive measures and information from multiple sources to identify, analyze, and report events occurring within cloud environments.

• Assist in protecting information, information systems, and networks from cybersecurity threats.

• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, including the use of alternate or compensating controls when necessary.

• Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot Information Assurance (IA) software.

• Assist with timely response to security incidents.

• Recognize potential security violations and report incidents as required.

• Assist with mitigating the impact of cybersecurity incidents.

• Implement applicable security patches and vulnerability remediation.

• Support remediation related to the National Vulnerability Database, US-CERT alerts, IAVA, IAVB, and Technical Advisories.

• Perform information assurance activities within data-center and cloud environments under technical supervision.

• Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities.

• Assist with installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of IA systems.

• Conduct and/or support authorized penetration testing of enterprise network assets.

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of Industry experience with 1 year in cybersecurity

• Experience in at least any one of the 3 Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)

• General knowledge of cybersecurity and information assurance principles.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, incident response, and remediation.

• Ability to work under technical and direct supervision.

• Ability to assist with moderately complex projects.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Relevant certifications in any of the large 3 cloud platforms (AWS, Azure of GCP)
