DSP Communications Engineer

What are the primary responsibilities of the DSP Communications Engineer position?

Under general supervision, this individual will lead and mentor small project teams through the full development lifecycle - conceiving, analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software-based solutions for modern communications systems.

Core responsibilities span algorithm development, hardware control, system optimization, and deployment strategy. The successful candidate will work across these areas with a high degree of ownership, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and ready for real-world operation.

What required background will make you successful?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or other equivalent field of discipline
• Demonstrated capability in scientific programming with C, C++, or similar high-level language on UNIX/Linux
• Strong background in DSP or in communications theory
• Experience with CUDA
• Experience with ICE Cards
• Experience with Mod/Demod
• A Top Secret/SCI security clearance - US Citizenship Required

Preferred skills:

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or equivalent field of discipline
• 5+ years of experience in practical system development, deployment and leading others
• X-Midas or MATLAB experience
