Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care UnitAmerican TravelerOverland Park, Kansas, United StatesAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$2,253.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) float pool position requiring telemetry expertise and both Kansas and Missouri or compact RN licensure.DetailsFloat pool position covering approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU units without a designated home unitMay float to other metro campus facilities as neededNight shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)Patient ratio of 1:5Weekend requirement of 8 shifts within a 6-week schedule, combination of Fri/Sat/SunHoliday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unitNo on-call requirementsNo block scheduling accommodation availableUtilizes Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell systemsRequirementsActive Kansas and Missouri RN license or compact license in hand at time of considerationCurrent BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred2 years of recent specialty experience required, including a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no employment gaps exceeding 90 daysCharge RN experience preferredExperience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown settings requiredSkilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and on-unit telemetry monitoringExperience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care requiredPreferred skills include sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, port access, blood product administration, and central line careTwo professional references required from the past year, one from a supervisor or above and the second from a charge RNMust provide SSN and finalized RTO/scheduling requests at time of considerationAdditional InformationProvide comprehensive care for patients with conditions including sepsis, wound care, ETOH withdrawal, suicidal ideation, renal failure, AFIB, GI bleed, stroke, and COVIDMust reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates within this radius are not acceptedNo travel partners accepted for this positionMaximum RTO of 7 days; additional RTO requires approval and must be finalized prior to consideration, with no changes permitted after submissionReturning staff must observe an 18-month tenure policy with a 3-month break in service; former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a travelerEPIC training required, with option to complete either the EPIC test-out or training moduleInfusion pump and glucometer training must be completed prior to start dateFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyFacility may extend an offer without an interview, though interview accommodations can be requested
