Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in a 6-bed ICU unit during night shifts, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in electronic health records.
• Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care procedures and health management.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current RN license in good standing.
• Have ICU experience, preferably in a critical care setting.
• Hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Be able to work night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am on a 7-on/7-off schedule.
• Comply with Louisiana Department of Health requirements and agency accreditation standards.
