Emergency Department Nurse

Role Overview Provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to health issues, collaborating with the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate multi-system assessments, identify deviations, and reassess patients throughout care. Develop individualized care plans, coordinate activities, discharge planning, and delegate tasks appropriately. Initiate and carry out protocols for managing medical and surgical patients, document care accurately, and utilize multidisciplinary approaches. Evaluate patient responses, care effectiveness, and participate in quality assurance activities. Qualifications & Skills Minimum nine months RN experience, with one year in the Emergency Department or completion of an internship. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure (Oregon). Certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and Pediatric Life Support within specified timelines. Computer skills and additional pediatric emergency courses preferred. Additional qualifications such as a Bachelor's degree, CEN, TNCC, and the ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias are advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
