Direct Support ProfessionalDirect Support Professionals will provide in-home residential service to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Our team needs someone who is fun, energetic, and enjoys working one on one with our individuals in their own homes to allow individuals to accomplish their goals in the least restrictive setting.Support individuals with budgeting and managing their money.Guide individuals with completing necessary hygienic and household tasks.Engage individuals in social activities.Support individuals with community access.Ensure individual health and safety is maintained.Complete daily progress note describing the progress of the individual each day.Complete quarterly reports describing individual progress.Follow outcomes and goals on Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).Attend in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development.Attend biweekly supervision sessions documenting individual progress.Maintain client confidentiality in all settings.Facilitate conflict resolution as needed.Attend physician appointments, SIS assessments, and Annuals related to individual goals.Direct Support Professionals will be expected to present and maintain specific qualifications for our agency. These qualifications include but are not limited to:High school diploma at minimum or equivalent course workOne year experience caring for individuals with developmental or physical disabilitiesA valid driver's licenseCurrent and valid auto insuranceReliable computer for documentation completionCurrent negative two part PPD testCPR/First AidMedicaid Waiver CompetencyEligible Criminal Background CheckEligible Central Registry CheckDirect Support Professionals will be expected to demonstrate necessary skills and knowledge in regards to supporting our individuals.
