Job Summary

We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish Area Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Fremont, CA, supporting janitorial and facilities maintenance operations within the real estate and property management industry. This management-level role is ideal for a hands-on facilities leader who understands janitorial operations, team supervision, building cleanliness standards, safety compliance, and client communication.

The Bilingual Spanish Area Manager will oversee cleaning crews, conduct inspections, coordinate supplies and equipment, manage employee records, and serve as a key point of contact for building management. This role offers the opportunity to lead teams in a stable, service-focused environment where strong communication, accountability, training, and operational excellence are valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily and nightly janitorial operations to ensure assigned buildings are cleaned, secured, and serviced according to scope of work requirements.
- Supervise, train, coach, and counsel janitorial employees on cleaning procedures, safety rules, building policies, and company standards.
- Communicate with building management to obtain work orders, resolve complaints, complete inspections, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct daily quality control inspections, building walkthroughs, and follow-up on detail work or service issues.
- Maintain accurate records for employee sign-in sheets, time cards, keys, inventory, supplies, equipment, uniforms, and ID badges.
- Monitor chemical and supply inventory, order supplies as needed, report broken equipment, and ensure crews have the tools needed to perform work safely and effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Fremont, CA.
- Schedule: Janitorial night and day supervision responsibilities.
- Availability: On-call 24/7.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Supervise janitorial teams and ensure assigned buildings meet cleanliness, safety, and service standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections, manage work orders, and execute services based on the Statement of Work.
- Train new employees, provide ongoing coaching, and manage schedules, time records, keys, supplies, and equipment.
- Serve as a primary communication link between building management, janitorial crews, and operations leadership.

- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills required.
- Management-level janitorial, facilities maintenance, or custodial operations experience required.
- Strong knowledge of janitorial procedures, cleaning standards, safety practices, supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to create work schedules, assign detail work, monitor performance, and address employee issues professionally.
- Strong written recordkeeping skills, including employee time records, inventory logs, inspections, and documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with building management, employees, and internal leadership.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, follow-through, and accountability.
- Ability to work flexible hours and remain available for on-call operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting commercial buildings, office properties, or managed real estate facilities.
- Experience starting up newly acquired accounts or transitioning new janitorial business.
- Prior responsibility for multiple buildings, crews, or service areas.
- Familiarity with work orders, scope of work requirements, safety meetings, and quality assurance processes.
