Information System Security Engineer (ISSO) / IT Systems Engineer

Role Responsibilities <\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/h2>

• Serve as the primary lead for <\/span><\/span><\/span> classified information security <\/span><\/b> , ensuring full compliance with federal regulations governing the handling, storage, transmission, and protection of national security information. <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Maintain the security posture of <\/span><\/span><\/span> classified and unclassified systems <\/span><\/b> , including configuration, monitoring, and continuous improvement. <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Oversee <\/span><\/span><\/span> cybersecurity compliance <\/span><\/b> , documentation, and accreditation artifacts (e.g., security plans, risk assessments, POA&Ms). <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Execute <\/span><\/span><\/span> contract‑specific security duties <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span> supporting legal proceedings, research operations, and government‑sponsored programs. <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Support research environments spanning multiple sponsors, classification compartments, and <\/span><\/span><\/span> non‑standard computing environments <\/span><\/b> . <\/span>

• Work closely with end users, program managers, and sponsors to meet contract milestones, address technical needs, and support new proposals and project launches. <\/span>

  Requirements <\/h3>

  • Strong understanding of federal regulations governing classified information (e.g., NISPOM, ICDs, RMF)<\/span>
