Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in intensive care units, ensuring comprehensive and timely interventions. Supervises ancillary staff and coordinates care to optimize patient outcomes in complex medical situations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and evaluate nursing interventions for patients with multi-system failure, including ventilated, neuro/trauma, respiratory, and hemodynamic instability.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, managing patients during life-threatening emergencies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, assessments, and responses.
• Ensure safe medication administration, intravenous therapy, and management of indwelling devices.
• Follow chain of command and hospital policies during emergent and routine procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Completion of a Critical Care Nursing course.
• Minimum six months of recent critical care experience.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire.
