Senior Preconstruction Manager

We’re partnering with a leading, growth-focused general contractor to appoint a high-impact Senior Preconstruction Manager for their Portland office. This is a critical, client-facing leadership role tasked with shaping project strategy, strengthening market presence, and driving preconstruction excellence. The Opportunity This role replaces a key leader and offers the chance to rebuild and lead preconstruction efforts while helping expand into healthcare and industrial markets, alongside established multifamily and retail work. What You’ll Do Lead full-cycle preconstruction services from concept through GMP Partner directly with clients to build relationships and win work Support business development and market expansion efforts Develop and manage budgets, estimates, schedules, and bid strategies Navigate contracts and provide risk analysis Collaborate with internal teams to drive project success and office growth What We’re Looking For 10+ years’ experience in preconstruction / estimating within commercial construction Strong client-facing and business development capability Proven experience delivering large, complex projects (with flexibility to support smaller projects as needed) Market experience preferred: Healthcare (priority), Industrial, Multifamily, Retail Well-rounded skillset across estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and contract review Team-first mindset, culture fit is critical Why This Role?
