MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain a high level of communication with clients and provide them with all necessary information relative to the staging of their events.

- Guide clients in facility rules, regulations, and policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and increase customer satisfaction.
- Ensure clients' and contractors' knowledge of and compliance with all applicable regulations to ensure fire and safety policies and procedures are met.
- Review event floor plans, schedules, and logistical needs and make recommendations when necessary.
- Keep clients and contractors informed of deadlines, including floor plans, event specifications, and other relevant details.
- Ensure that input to the Event Management System is maintained and up-to-date.
- Create, distribute and publish event information that is clear, comprehensive, and in accordance with internal event scheduling deadlines and departmental standards.
- Participate in, and schedule when necessary, internal and external meetings to ensure that all parties have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the event.
- Foresee problems and head off through proper planning and anticipation of problems or issues.
- Oversee all event activities and follow up on all client requests, concerns, and problems.
- Update, manage, and chase delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines.
- Issue changes, corrections, and updates as necessitated by evolving event requirements.
- Ensure that all MCCNO space is clear and clean in accordance with facility policies.
- Assist with the preparation of final client bills by data input in Event Management System and provide signed supporting documents when required.
- Actively assist in the training and development of new Event Services staff.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people in high pressure situations with a goal of having the client become or continue as a repeat customer. Able to deal with difficult people.
- Prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, multi-task, perform under minimal supervision and work extended/irregular hours as necessary including nights, weekends and holidays.
