Direct Care Supervisor

Full‑time Community Homes Supervisor (Direct Care Supervisor) Lifesteps is a non‑profit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years. This role oversees a residential home with direct care staff in Monessen, PA. Position Summary The Direct Care Supervisor is responsible for overall management and day‑to‑day operations of the residential community living home. Responsibilities Directly supervise community home staff Schedule, train staff, and conduct performance reviews Oversee the quality of care provided to individuals with special needs Assist with caregiving duties as needed Maintain documentation such as fire drills, client progress notes, medication administration records, etc. The goal is to improve the quality of life for each person by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their home and community. Work Schedule Full‑time, 40 hours per week. On‑call duties required. Qualifications Required High School Diploma / GED and at least 3 years of experience in human service, direct care, caregiver, TSS, Home Health Aide, CNA, DSP or related position Current driver’s license Obtain Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 200 lbs. with assistance Preferred Associate Degree or 60 equivalent credits and 2 years experience in human service or caregiving field Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience in human service, social service or related field Degrees related to Education, Special Education, Counseling, Therapy, Psychology, Sociology, Social Services, Transition Programming, Nursing, Health Administration, or similar are preferred, but any major qualifies Benefits 100% paid medical, dental and vision insurance premiums Paid vacation, sick and personal/emergency time 12 paid holidays Short and long‑term disability Life insurance 403(b) retirement plan Tuition reimbursement and more Equity Statement EOE/ADA.
