Industrial Metal Mechanic

UIG is hiring experienced Industrial Metal Mechanic/Metal Cladders for immediate project needs. Candidates must have hands-on industrial experience and be available to mobilize quickly to project sites.What You’ll DoMeasure, cut, fabricate, and install metal jacketing and cladding on piping, vessels, and industrial equipment.Work with aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and similar materials.Fabricate elbows, end caps, transitions, flanges, and other custom pieces.Install metal jacketing with properly aligned, secure, and watertight seams.Coordinate with insulation crews to ensure proper fit and protection.Use metal shears, snips, brakes, drills, hammers, hand seamers, and other trade tools.Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, and quality.Follow all site safety requirements, including 100% tie-off when required.Identify and immediately report unsafe conditions, hazards, or incidents.Required Qualifications:1+ years of hands-on industrial metal cladding or jacketing experience.Experience fabricating and installing aluminum, stainless steel, or galvanized metal.Ability to accurately measure, lay out, cut, and fabricate metal components.Experience using sheet-metal hand and power tools.Ability to work safely at heights and in physically demanding environments.Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, and work in awkward positions.Ability and willingness to travel to industrial project sites.Preferred QualificationsIndustrial insulation project experience.Ability to read blueprints, isometric drawings, and project specifications.OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training.Fall protection training.This is an immediate staffing need.
