LJ’s Handyman Services is looking for a dependable, hardworking Part-Time Handyman Assistant / Laborer to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to learn multiple trades, and takes pride in doing quality work. You will work alongside experienced technicians on a variety of residential repair and improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with residential handyman and repair projects
• Carry materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites
• Assist with drywall repair, painting, flooring, carpentry, decks, and general home repairs
• Assist with basic plumbing and electrical work as directed
• Perform demolition, cleanup, and job-site preparation
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and work areas clean and organized
• Take before-and-after job photos when required
• Follow company safety procedures
• Arrive at jobs on time and ready to work
• Provide courteous and professional service while working in customers' homes

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Comfortable performing physical labor
• Able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred
• Construction, maintenance, landscaping, remodeling, or handyman experience is helpful but not required
• Willingness to learn is extremely important
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Schedule

This is a part-time position , with hours varying based on scheduled projects and workload.

There may be opportunities for additional hours and advancement for employees who demonstrate reliability, productivity, and increased handyman skills.
