Laundry Attendant Job Description A Laundry Attendant manages the cleaning process forlinens, towels, ensuring high cleanliness standards in the hotels. Key dutiesinclude sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens, alongsidetreating stains and maintaining laundry equipment. The role requires lifting upto 50 lbs., standing for long periods, and strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Sortingand Washing: Collect, sort, and pretreat soiled linens andclothing by fabric type, color, and cleaning instructions. MachineOperation: Load and unload washers and dryers, utilizing properchemical detergents and settings. LinenFinishing: Fold, press, and hang clean items neatly fordistribution. InventoryControl: Stock linen carts and closets; assist with inventorycounts as assigned. FacilityMaintenance: Keep the laundry area, machines, and lint trapsclean, safe, and organized. StainTreatment: Identify and treat stains using appropriate chemicalsand techniques. Qualifications and Physical Requirements Experience: Priorexperience in hospitality or industrial laundry preferred. PhysicalAbility: Must be able to lift to 20-50 lbs., push/pull carts, andstand for extended periods.
