Inspector/PackerFull time Americas - North America - United States - Oklahoma City - RPSNA Oklahoma City OKAssures by visual inspection that all containers and lids are being manufactured and packaged according to Amcor quality standards and guidelines in a safe and efficient manner.Key FunctionsInspect products to ensure quality. Set aside products that are below quality standards. Work closely with Leads and alert Mold Tech and Supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions. Watch molds for irregularities or sticking. Timely response to quality issues is key to this position.Complete assembly of products by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machines cycles.Flame containers and lids when required.Stack and pack product per instructions that vary with different customers and orders.Prepare proper product identification and/or packaging labels.Accurately complete any required paperworkAssist with material handling and other tasks as needed.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.ResponsibilitiesWhen the machine experiences interruption in production, the packer/handler will take this available time to clean up oil, sweep, mop, make boxes or other tasks that may be assigned by the team leader or supervisor.Assist with material handling and other tasks as needed.Qualifications/Requirements3.1 Formal Qualifications and ExperienceMust be able to keep up with the fast-paced production cyclesPosition requires agility and consistent attention to detailAble to tolerate constant repetitionMust be able to identify alpha / numeric product codesMust be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime3.2 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/BehavioursPrevious production experience is preferredAbility to read, write and communicate in English would be a plusPhysical RequirementsStanding and Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift) on concrete floors in a production environment.Lifting and Carrying: Regularly required to lift and carry materials, and packaging supplies weighing up to 40 lbsBending, Stooping, and Kneeling: Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to set up printing equipment, load materials, and perform maintenance tasksClimbing and Reaching: Occasional climbing of steps or ladders and reaching overhead or below waist level to access printing supplies and equipmentManual Dexterity: Must have fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to operate printing machinery, adjust settings, and manage small components with precisionVisual and Auditory Acuity: Ability to read labels, print specifications, and computer screens.
