Restaurant Assistant Server

Salary & Benefits Salary Range: $17.05 - $21.32* Responsibilities Maintain setup in dining rooms to ensure guests receive the high standards of Neiman Marcus food and beverage service. Focus on table maintenance in the dining room, including clearing and re‑setting tables Deliver popovers, butter, and water Deliver food and beverage to guests as indicated by kitchen tickets Maintain the bus station and beverage areas Learn table numbers and sections in the dining area Assist kitchen staff and service staff with any service needs (e.g., additional customer requests, restocking plates, bagging “to go” orders, setting up expediter station) Assist waitstaff with any service needs, refilling beverages and running food from the kitchen to the dining room as needed Set up the dining room with key items, including coffee, iced tea, and ice Restock glasses, flatware, and linens Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings Execute pre‑shift, post‑shift, and daily/weekly duties as assigned by supervisor Lift and move objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs) Clean and maintain restaurant and workstation Maintain highest hygiene standards: clean uniform jacket, professional hair/nails, clean appearance for work Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred Experience serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines Ability to work autonomously Motivated and results‑driven Knowledge of proper placement of china, glass, and flatware for table settings Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings, food, and beverage per kitchen tickets and guidebook Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties concurrently Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills Win together mentality Physical ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift/carry up to 35 lbs Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Additional Information Opportunity to work in a fast‑paced environment at a growing luxury retailer Exposure to career advancement across retail, distribution, digital, and corporate Comprehensive benefits package for eligible full‑time employees (medical, vision, dental) Employee discount Compensation may vary by location; starting pay based on experience and market Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Basic life insurance Supplemental life insurance Disability insurance Other voluntary benefits (e.g., critical illness, hospital, accident insurance) Equal Employment Opportunity Saks Global is an equal employment opportunity employer.
