Passionate about making a difference in students’ lives? An exciting contract opportunity awaits for a Special Education professional to support learners with moderate to severe needs for the upcoming school year.

This full-time position is based near Milpitas, CA, covering the academic year from 8/13/26 to 6/8/27. The selected educator will manage a caseload focused on ESN (Extensive Support Needs), working collaboratively to deliver tailored instruction and create a supportive environment for student growth. Further details about the caseload will be provided as the assignment approaches.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active California Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential (mod/severe) is required
• Previous experience working with students who have extensive support needs (moderate/severe) is preferred
• Knowledge of IEP process, compliance, and differentiated instructional strategies
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs for students with moderate to severe needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and adjust instruction as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that promotes safety and learning
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
• Attend IEP meetings, staff development sessions, and school events as required

This contract position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $40 to $60, based on experience and certifications.
