Come explore Novanta.Job Summary:As a Clerk Receiving, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient department operation. You will receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments to maintain inventory records. Receiving and inspecting shipments of goods and supplies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Primary Responsibilities:Recording and maintaining accurate inventory records.Communicating with vendors and other departments regarding shipment discrepancies.Operating material handling equipment, such as hand-trucks, pallet jacks or forklifts to move and store inventory.Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area. Receiving accuracy Skill - Be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies:Skill - Have basic computer skills and experience with, or ability to learn, inventory management software.Skill - Be able to communicate effectively with vendors and other departments.Other - Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Other - Be able to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.Action Oriented - Enjoys working hard; is action oriented and full of energy for the things that he/she sees as challenging; not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seizes opportunities when they arise.Composure - Is cool under pressure; does not become defensive or irritated when times are tough; is considered mature; can be counted on to hold things together during tough times; ; can handle stress; is not knocked off balance by the unexpected; doesn't show frustration when resisted or blocked; is a settling influence in a crisis.Collaborative Team Player - Collaborative: Is intentional about seeking input and including others when making decisions. Interpersonal Influence: listens, masters productive conflict, works across functions and BU boundaries.Trustworthy: Builds trusting relationships by being transparent and acting with integrity.Compensation and Benefits:The salary for this role will range from $35,320 to $63,575 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives.
