Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse) - ER

Shift: Varied 12-hour shifts starting between 1100-1300, every other weekend, First to Float

Job Description:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-level emergency care in a busy ER with 30 beds, including 2 trauma bays. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with varying patient volumes and acuity levels, and should be prepared to float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed. Must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam before signing the contract.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver emergency nursing care to patients with diverse conditions including trauma, strokes, and cardiac events.
• Monitor patient telemetry and manage acute care assignments.
• Float to different units as needed, providing support without a direct assignment.

Requirements:

• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar setting; proficiency with central line placements, managing trauma patients, and using MTP, chest tubes.
• Comfortable using EMR systems such as PulseCheck or Picis.
