User Engagement Systems Engineer

Northstrat is seeking an experienced User Engagement Engineer with a systems engineering background to join an established space domain awareness (SDA) software development program spanning multiple locations. Responsibilities Document incidents for operations Track status of current incidents and provide updates to users Inform users of development planning, status, and deliverables Manage user expectations on system capabilities and delivery timelines Elucidate system functionality Develop system tradecraft and user guides to support real‑world operations Support transition from a legacy system to a modern architecture Provide informal “over‑the‑shoulder” training to users Connect users to the customer for requests requiring approvalsConnect the customer to site personnel to support software delivery and system integration Facilitate on‑site discussions and meetings with system users and stakeholders Requirements Must have TS/SCI with CI poly and be willing to be read into special access programs (SAPs) Minimum five years of systems engineering experience for space systems or related field Experience in space operations, space domain awareness (SDA)/space control, and indications and warnings Preferred Qualifications Experience liaising between multiple organizations Experience briefing and interfacing with government leadership Experience facilitating working groups Excellent communication skills, especially with remote teams Self‑starter and self‑advocate; able to operate in a small site presence Benefits Northstrat values work‑life balance and offers power‑of‑choice benefits to support wellness, healthy living, retirement investment, and lifelong learning.
