Warehouse Maintenance WorkerThe Warehouse Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This is an intermediate-level position requiring hands-on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting ability and some independent judgment, working under general supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance (PM) on conveyor systems, dock equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues within the facilityRespond to and prioritize work orders based on urgency and operational impactMaintain accurate maintenance logs using a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)Inspect dock doors, levelers, lighting, and safety equipment on a regular schedulePerform minor building repairs (drywall, painting, fixtures, flooring)Order and maintain inventory of maintenance parts and suppliesCoordinate with outside vendors/contractors for specialized repairsFollow all OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout (LOTO) proceduresOperate power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment safelyRequirements2–4 years of experience in facility, industrial, or warehouse maintenanceWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and basic HVAC/plumbing systemsExperience with material handling equipment a plus (forklift certification preferred)Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manualsBasic computer skills for work order and inventory tracking systemsHigh school diploma or GED required; trade school/technical certification a plusAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work at heightsPhysical RequirementsFrequent bending, kneeling, climbing laddersWork in varying warehouse temperatures (some non-climate-controlled areas)Use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots) required
