• Location: San Antonio, TX

• Specialty: Radiology

• Setting: Integrated outpatient/inpatient health system

Role Overview

• Examines and diagnoses conditions using diagnostic imaging

• Interprets and reports on MRI, CT, PET, and ultrasound studies

• Reviews and transmits images via PACS

• Communicates findings with referring providers, patients, and families

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and review patient history and clinical data

• Prepare comprehensive interpretive reports

• Assess patient risk factors (e.g., contrast allergies)

• Counsel patients on imaging procedures, risks, and benefits

• Coordinate radiology services with other medical teams

• Establish and monitor quality control and safety standards

• Implement protocols (radiation safety, MRI safety, infection control)

• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education

• Provide teleradiology coverage for satellite locations

• Serve as Radiology Medical Director for ACR & IAC site accreditations

• Maintain clinical competencies per policy

• Strong customer service and professional communication skills
