Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using a combination of standardized assessments and hands-on observation.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to meet specific short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice clarity, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care solutions.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress outside the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation to comply with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field through education and peer networking.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Possession of a valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
