Position Overview

The Emergency Room RN plays a critical role in assessing, treating, and monitoring patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. This position requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to prioritize care effectively, and close collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients based on the severity of their condition.
• Provide prompt nursing interventions and emergency care treatments.
• Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered emergency care environment.

Qualifications

• Canadian citizenship required.
• Minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
