Group Life Counselor I

Overview A Group Life Counselor I is an entry‑level Human Service position with Sea Mar Community Health Centers. The counselor works as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide direct services to patients in a residential setting. Services may include admission procedures, behavior monitoring, educational group facilitation, milieu management, and patient supervision. Key Responsibilities Maintain professional standards and treatment policies. Utilize the electronic health record, email, and medication system. Attend regular staff meetings. Support the clinical staff with patients’ individualized needs. Monitor clients, conduct patient urinalysis, intakes, and searches. Assist with program housekeeping. Monitor medication and utilize the electronic medication administration record (MAR). Qualifications Must either hold an Associate’s degree or have at least one year of relevant experience with a high school diploma. Pre‑hire and annual employee health screening required, including a TB test at hire and annually thereafter; annual influenza vaccine required unless a valid medical or religious exemption is approved. Employees with an exemption must wear a mask during flu season. Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license. Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain certification throughout employment. Must pass a satisfactory background check. Must complete required BH EHR system trainings. Schedule & Salary Starting wage: $21.30 per hour. Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, hourly plan.
