Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a critical care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex ICU patients effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients using established protocols and assessment tools.
• Manage patients with multiple medication drips, EVD, and other advanced interventions.
• Administer medications, including use of PCA pumps, and perform treatments such as hypothermia protocols.
• Follow strict isolation precautions, SOP, and critical care practices to ensure patient safety.
• Document patient care accurately using Allscript EMR and other hospital systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Possess an active RN license to practice in New York State or by reciprocity.
• Have a minimum of 3 years ICU experience, with experience managing trauma and critical care patients preferred.
• Maintain current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS; CCRN and TNCC are a plus.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing complex ICU procedures and equipment.
