We are seeking an Automotive Technician/Automotive Mechanic to service passenger vehicles, light trucks and SUVs, commercial vehicles, and a mixed vehicle fleet in dealership service department and independent repair shop environments. This role emphasizes routine maintenance, complex diagnostics, warranty repairs, and pre-purchase inspections, with limited customer interaction focused on explaining completed repairs and providing repair recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics and complex troubleshooting.
- Complete preventive maintenance and routine service.
- Conduct engine, brake, electrical, suspension, and transmission repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs and pre-purchase inspections.
- Manage parts and maintain an organized repair process.
- Conduct safety inspections and document completed repairs.
- Explain completed repairs and provide repair recommendations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in automotive repair.
- ASE certification.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive technology training or a technical certificate.
- Experience with automotive diagnostics and OBD-II scanning.
- Knowledge of engine repair, brake systems, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
- Technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Effective customer communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
