Job Overview Travel Nurse RN – Emergency Department (ED) – Asheville, NC Details Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (contract) Hours: 36 hours per week (12‑hour nights shift 2:45 PM‑3:15 AM) Employment Type: Travel Job Description The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a high-volume emergency department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a Level II trauma center and demonstrate a commitment to exceptional patient care and teamwork in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Assess and triage patients effectively in a fast‑paced emergency setting. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment options and procedures. Document patient care activities accurately using the Cerner documentation system. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting. Demonstrated experience in a high‑volume ED (100,000 visits annually) and Level II trauma center. Current RN license in the state of employment. ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before starting date. ENPC certification within 90 days of hire.
